CDE Information

The KY State Livestock Judging CDE consists of the following sections:

• A 50 question multiple choice exam
• Seven classes of livestock to be placed
  
• Class 1 - Breeding Cattle
• Class 2 - Market Cattle
• Class 3 - Breeding Swine
• Class 4 - Market Swine
• Class 5 - Breeding Sheep
• Class 6 - Market Sheep
• Class 7 - Market Goats
• One set of oral reasons on a class of beef cattle (2 min. allowed)
• One class of slaughter cattle (5 head) will be graded individually according to U.S. Market Grades
• One class of feeder cattle (calves, 5 head) will be graded according to U.S. Market Grades
